We managed to do six different Hallowe’en things this week and here they are:
School Haunted House (Wednesday)
The school haunted house was really fun. First you went through a tunnel and some-Star-Wars-person-I-don’t-know showed you the right way. You went into a kitchen with an ape man, and on the way out of the kitchen a man with cheese showed you a dead head, which MOVED. Then light-sabre-man showed the way again and you went through a really dark zone where some Dracula phantom person jumped out from behind you. (I froze so he had to say ‘Go onwaaaaards’!). You went to a house then, where dead bodies screamed from under tables. One of the dead bodies was the Principal, Mr Barwick. Then a menacing gravedigger showed you out. In total the eighth-graders who organized it made $890!!!!!!!
Trick-or-treating in Wakarusa (Thursday)
Hi viewers. In England, we’re not allowed to go trick or treating. Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. It’s really cool. I had a big bag and got loads of sweets. He he he! We went to the town near where Patrice and Catherine live. It’s called Wakarusa. There was a big tree made of pumpkins.
School Hallowe’en Party (Friday)
Hi, people of Europe. Our school had a Hallowe’en party. First we got changed. Then, we played games: Bingo, Bowling (with a pumpkin), and a card game called ‘Apples to Apples’ .We then had a snack. I had so much fun there.
Studebaker Museum (Friday night)
In case you didn’t know, Studebakers are a kind of car that used to be made here in South Bend. The 'Trunk and Treat' at the museum was basically where you got ‘candy’ out of the boots (or 'trunks' as they say over here) of the old cars. The 'Recykilling Centre' exhibit was pretty scary too.

There were crafts too, which were quite good. We made magnets. Also have you ever seen Elvis’s car? It’s pretty ‘groovy!’

Pumpkin Decorating (Saturday)
Hello people of far away. The pumpkin painting was fun. Maddie did 2 . Mum and I did 1 each. I did a dead man. Maddie did a phantom and a dracula. Mum did happy hallowe’en man. He was carved and had a hat.
Trick-or-treating in South Bend (Sunday)
This was pretty much the same as Wakarusa, but we were only there for an hour and got twice as much (South Bend is busier!).
We went back to our house afterwards and traded sweets.
