We're here!

It's HOT!!!  The first thing you notice is how hot and humid it is! There is lots of wildlife in our garden, groundhogs, crickets, we even saw a deer yesterday! (Unfortunately the mosquitos outnumber the deer!) The flight was very long and boring, so I read the whole of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas! Our house was quite warm so we bought some fans (and then we worked out how to turrn on the air conditioning!!) Today we met two girls who are going to be in our classes at our school at a 'splash pad' (water park).

We're here! We left home at 5.00 in the morning, and it was after midnight in English time by the time we went to bed. (It's five hours earlier here than in the UK.)  We have been shopping ... A LOT!  We bought everything we need for school, and today we bought some toys. We have seen our school, and it looks really fun, and we made friends with two American girls called Patrice and Catherine. We also went to the University of Notre Dame, where mum will be working.
