Grandma and Grandpa are here!

Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY GRANDPARENTS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to get them last night at O’Hare airport in Chicago. It was very dark by the time we got back, because on the way we got held up in traffic. When Ellen was asleep we played synonyms for our car: they included ‘bathtub’ and ‘hippo’, because it’s like an oversized go-kart! We passed around cashew-nuts and brownies and when we were all finished we did a round of all the different states of America we could remember!

It took roughly six hours to get there and back. It was very late when we got home, and Grandpa & Grandma were very VERY tired. They slept till nine! We weren't allowed to wake them up this morning, but tomorrow we can!  As you can see by my over-eccentric exclamation marks (!!!) I’m REALLY pleased they’re here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Us, getting excited...

PS Do you know the names of all the States of the USA?  If not, you might like this song that we sing at school.  At the end, where it goes 'in our common objective opinion ... is the best', everyone shouts 'Indiana'.  Except for me... I say 'England'!
