We went to Michigan!

Michigan is one of Indiana’s neighbouring states, and all that boring stuff etc, etc, etc... Yawn!  Click here if you are interested in all that geographical business and want to see the route we took.

But Michigan has LOTS of big lakes, and my Grandma’s American cousin, Janet, lives next to Wixom Lake and has a boat! We went on a REALLY long boat ride with my REALLY distant cousins Ally and Riley doing mad posing and Jodie, Ally's mum, let me drive for a minute! (I only turned it around; if I was in charge of speed it would be dangerous!)

Also I was offered a go at tubing!! Tubing’s when you get tugged behind a boat on rubber-ring thingy with a cover on the bottom. On my first time tubing I stood up on the tube and went at the fastest speed the boat could manage!!!!

I LOVED THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The water in the lake was quite cold, so we went in the hot-tub afterwards!

I’m going to tell you about what we did on our evening in Michigan. After we went tubing and in the hot tub, there was everything including marshmallows, a fire, chocolate, fireworks and a Chinese lantern.  I made my marshmallows with a slightly crispy skin and sort of gooey in the middle. We made s’mores which is marshmallows and chocolate in between 2 cinnamon crackers.  Click here to find out how to make them.
